Thank you for choosing PSHE Village resources!
This resource gives children the ability to have self-awareness and accurately recognise their own emotions, thoughts and values and how they influence their behaviour. They will also be able to accurately assess their own strengths and limitations with a well-grounded sense of confidence and optimism.
This activity can be completed once a day, week or month depending on the child and the behaviour they display. It is helpful to keep a record of the activity to monitor how the child is feeling and what causes them to feel this way.
ADHD Awareness Month resource
This engaging 60-75-minute lesson is designed to raise ADHD awareness among KS3 students through interactive, hands-on activities and collaborative learning. Students will explore the realities of ADHD by debunking common myths, fostering empathy through an ADHD simulation, and using technology to reinforce their understanding.
The lesson incorporates:
A quick interactive quiz using Quizizz to introduce ADHD facts (links included on slides)
A hands-on simulation activity where students experience what it’s like to focus with distractions, simulating ADHD challenges while writing a short paragraph.
paired work where students research and create posters to debunk 16 common ADHD myths.
A final competitive quiz to consolidate learning and a reflective exercise to promote empathy.
This lesson is ideal for promoting inclusivity, critical thinking, and a better understanding of ADHD in the classroom, while keeping students actively engaged and working collaboratively.
Resources included:
Interactive quiz instructions
Group work guidelines
List of myths to debunk
ADHD simulation instructions
This activity is for children who have poor anger management. It gives children the ability to successfully regulate their own emotions, thoughts and behaviours in different situations-effectively managing stress, controlling impulses and motivating their selves.
